Nancy Jackson: The Story of an Enslaved Woman Who Sued for Her Freedom

Presented by Roswell Roots and Roswell's Historic House Museums and Roswell Cultural Arts and City of Roswell, Georgia at Mimosa Hall & Gardens

At the age of 22 this courageous woman risked her life to stand up for her rights and to set a precedent that created a path for other enslaved people to become free. Join us for an in-depth look at the circumstances of her life and see documents that show us the course of events and how she thrived into the 20th century.
