Keep Roswell Beautiful and The City of Roswell are celebrating Georgia Arbor Day on February 17th at the beautiful Bulloch Hall. Join us for a for a treemendous time!
Georgia Arbor Day takes place each February and is dedicated to highlighting the importance of trees. Keep Roswell Beautiful and The City of Roswell are celebrating Georgia Arbor Day.
Staff members will be giving free tours of the property and discussing the amazing array of historical native trees on the site. Each registered participant will also be able to take home one of the FREE redbud saplings, provided by Keep Roswell Beautiful and The Georgia Forestry Commission.
Eastern redbuds are a native shrub or small tree that bloom vibrant flowers each Spring. They are tolerant plants that would make a wonderful addition to any garden or yard. Redbud saplings will be available as supplies last.
From 11:00am-11:30am City Officials will mark the occasion by reading the official Arbor Day Proclamation and planting a ceremonial Liberty Tree (elm tree), provided by Sons of the American Revolution.
