Structured social night for middle- & high-schoolers. Perform a song, skit, comedy routine, monologue, or any other type of act you like…or just hang out and watch friends perform. Pizza is included!
Open Mic Night is a coffeehouse style open mic at the Georgia Ensemble Theatre Studio. Pizza dinner is included in the cost! Participants sing, perform stand-up comedy, read poetry, perform a monologue, etc. for their peers. Students will sign up for 5-minute performance spots upon arrival and throughout the evening. Kids who only want to watch and socialize are also welcome! A microphone and a speaker for playing music are provided. Bring your own instruments or props if you want to. Suitable for kids in grades 6-12. Hosted by GET's Lauren Frost and led by a different GET teaching artist each month. Parents may drop kids off OR hang out in the lounge until the event is over.
For teens/pre-teens in grades 6-12.
Cost is $30, whether you're performing or watching, and pizza & drinks are included. Advance registration is preferred, but registration at the door is also OK!
Parents are asked to drop kids off or to wait in the lounge down the hall from the theatre space.
