Hear Clark Atlanta University literature professor Piper G. Huguley talk about her biographical historical fiction novel, telling the inspiring story of the Black fashion designer of Jackie Kennedy's wedding dress. By Her Own Design was a 2022 Booklist top 100 Editor's Choice selection and the 2022 American Library Association's Read Council historical fiction winner. Also, get a sneak peek into her new historical fiction novel, American Daughters, about a remarkable interracial friendship between the daughters of Teddy Roosevelt and Booker T. Washington.
