Hidden away in the lush forest of Big Creek Park lies one of the most unique trails in the City of Roswell – the Roswell Mountain Bike Trail System. This seven-mile trail system attracts hundreds of riders throughout the year, providing challenges for all levels of riders from beginner to advanced.

What’s at Big Creek Park

Built over two decades ago, the trail system features a freeride park, dirt jumps, pump tracks, and more. Although not visible from the road, the trail system is open daily from dawn to dusk, except during occasional closures due to heavy rain. Riders of all ages are encouraged to bring a friend and enjoy a day of riding through the forest trees.

The Community at Work

The Roswell-Alpharetta Mountain Bike Organization (RAMBO), a 501(c)3 non-profit, built and operates the trail system at Big Creek Park. The volunteer organization donates thousands of hours each year to build, maintain, and advocate for the mountain bike trails.

RAMBO partners with the Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic, and Cultural Affairs department for a series of special events for the riding community and its spectators.

Events on the Trails

On select nights, RAMBO hosts Mountain Bike Night Rides, where professional riders guide a group through the trails at night. It’s an unforgettable experience, learning how to bike better while weaving through the winding trails.

RAMBO also hosts the Big Creek Quick Six Enduro, an annual mountain bike race attracting more than 200 regional riders to the City. Many riders come to ride, then stay to play, supporting local businesses around Roswell.

What’s New at Big Creek Park

In 2022, RAMBO raised over $50,000 to build the newest trail, the Hollywood trail, an expert-level jump trail in the Freeride area of the park. With grants, corporate sponsorships, and amazing volunteers, RAMBO built and opened this new trail to the public.

The City of Roswell Park System provides those with an adventurous spirit with many ways to try something new. If you’re looking for a fun and exciting activity, it’s time to check out a trail or two!
