Landmarks to Enjoy

Mimosa Hall & Gardens

Mimosa Hall & Gardens is a beautiful Greek revival house surrounded by stunning gardens. A.J. Hansell, an owner of the home who moved to Roswell after the Civil War to rebuild the burned Roswell Mill named the house Mimosa Hall after the lovely trees on the property. The property today is owned by the City of Roswell and hosts cultural programming and events throughout the year, as well as being available for private rentals.

Barrington Hall

Another historic gem in Roswell is Barrington Hall. This home is where it all began for the King family, who were instrumental in establishing a successful textile mill along Vickery Creek and the development of Roswell. Barrington Hall is also home to the oldest antebellum garden in the Atlanta metro area open to the public, highlighting the significance of historic preservation and landscape to the Roswell community.

Bulloch Hall

For those interested in presidential history, Bulloch Hall is a must-visit. This antebellum home was built for the James Stephens Bulloch family and played a significant role in shaping the life of Mittie Bulloch, mother to Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States.

Smith Plantation
