Self-defense workshops for children and teen girls.

This program is ideal for children in 1st-5th grade. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The program lasts approximately 2 hours.

Please note that Safety Sense for Children includes discussion of sexual abuse (age appropriate mention of boundaries regarding private body parts). Feel free to contact us if you would like more info prior to enrolling your child.

Program Focus Areas

Revved Up Kids Safety Sense for children teaches them about unsafe people and equips them to respond appropriately if they ever meet an unsafe person, including using self-defense if it's warranted. The program uses age appropriate language and includes the following components:

Be Smart Awareness Training: Who are unsafe people and what do they do? What are my all-the-time just in case skills?
Be Strong Defense Training: What are my emergency just in case skills? Learning and practicing simple, effective self-defense tactics, importance of disclosure.
Be Safe Review/Reinforcement: Participant Q&A, take home resources, family safety community.
