The City of Roswell will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of renovations to Town Square Park.
Renovations include safety and aesthetic improvements to this historic park, which was built in 1839 as part of the original town design and has become a popular community gathering spot and site of a variety of events and festivals over the years.
Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to join Mayor Wilson, City Council, and staff for the event.

Parking is available on streets bordering Town Square, including Mimosa Blvd. and Park Square Ct., and along Bulloch Ave.
Project Overview
The project features a variety of hardscape repairs and enhancements:
- Brick pavers have been repaired and regrouted; granite curbing has been fixed; an unsafe stairway that connected to Hwy. 9 has been eliminated; and a new section of fence has been added.
- Renovations to the fountain include a new salt water pump system, new liner, drain, and LED lighting that allows the City to illuminate the fountain in a variety of colors to mark different celebrations.
- The bandstand was updated with a fresh coat of paint.
- 22 new light poles, featuring historical design suited to Town Square and approved by the Roswell Historical Preservation Commission, were installed. In addition, new in-ground memorial lights were added to illuminate flags and the memorial at the south end of the park.
- New Victor Stanley furniture has been installed, including six benches, six sets of tables and chairs, and five combination trash/recycle receptacles.
- Greenspace throughout the park also features new sod and landscaping.
The total cost for the project was $582,230.98, which was paid using one-time capital funding approved in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 City of Roswell Budget.
